John K. Aldrich is a geologist, lecturer, and author whose "Ghosts of . . ." books and accompanying topo maps are a boon to hobbyists, explorers, and those interested in Colorado mining history. These books, each with beautiful color photographs, ghost town history, and geological information (but no "ghost" stories) cover more than 400 locations as listed below. Each book (34 to 64 pages) retails for $6.95. You may order directly from the author, however, for the PhantomRanch discounted price of $5.00 each plus 5.3% tax if shilpped to a Colorado address (mention PhantomRanch--the website price is $5.95 each!). Shipping/handling will be added to your order. Contact the author for the total price (including tax and S&H) and when ordering, indicate if you would like the books autographed. Payment by check or money order must precede shipmenty (Mr. Aldrich is not set up to take credit cards). Should several people go in together for an order (in a club, for instance), you can save on postage. If you live in the Denver area, save even more by picking up your order to avoid the S&H.
