L. Gregory "Greg" Lund received a B.S. degree in Mathematics and an M.A. degree in Recreation Administration from Brigham Young University (Provo, Utah) where he received his formal dance training as a student. He performed with the BYU Folk Dancers from 1965 to 1974. He was a graduate assistant and later an Assistant Director of the company.

Greg became interested in clogging when a student introduced him to World Champion Clogger, Scottie McKee. After working with Scottie and attending numerous other clogging workshops, Greg began entering clogging competitions and was awarded 2nd place at the American Clogging Championship in 1986. He became the Ohio State Clogging Champion in 1987, and finished in the top three in several other individual and duet clogging competitions.

In 1978, Greg moved to Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, to accept the position of instructor and of Director of Banevolks, the Ball State folk dance repertory company, when Ya'akov Eden left the post to take over the Blue Star Israeli Folk Dance Workshop. In 1985 he joined the faculty of the Department of Theatre and Dance as an instructor of dance and became the Banevolks director.

At Ball State, Greg teaches folk dance and clogging regularly, and has taught clogging in numerous workshops throughout the midwest. He also created several clogging choreographies for university dance companies and the Indianapolis Folk Ensemble.

As director of the Banevolks, Greg organized three tours to Europe during the 1980s, where the troupe performed clogging and other American folk dances at International Folk Festivals from England to Bulgaria. At home, the company staged some 20 international folk dance performances each year for audiences all over the midwest.

Since 1990 he has been teaching Dance History and became the Theatre Department's Scene Shop Supervisor in 1997. He completed his second National Stage Combat Workshop and teaches a class in Stage Combat.

Both Greg and his wife Taunya have been treasurers of the National Folk Organization (NFO).

Dances Greg has taught include Betty's Bein' Bad, Clogging, Cotton Eyed Joe, Flashdance, Give It Up or Let Me Go, Highway 40 Blues, Kelly's Rag, Let It Roll, Old Time Rock 'n' Roll, Rocky Top, Rueben James, Stay a Little Longer, and Tell Mama.
